Product Marketing Strategy for an Early Stage Startup
ABOUT THE PROJECT: A Cambridge-based startup founded by a Stanford GSB graduate is looking to partner with an HBS student for the Fall term. The company’s web-based product will help individuals navigate the complexities of healthcare reform (full company description below). The company is now working on scaling their marketing strategy, and they are looking for an MBA student who is interested in a product marketing project. This would be a great project for someone who is passionate about digital marketing and interested in using technology to make a critical life decision simpler and more elegant for consumers.
As part of this IP you would gain firsthand experience with startup customer acquisition and retention. You will be responsible for:
- Developing marketing campaigns and strategies for new customer acquisition channels
- Testing these campaigns and iterating on their design
- Analyzing results and recommending additional customer acquisition strategies to the founding team
This is an early stage company, so you would have the opportunity to see your recommendations directly implemented. The company is building a fun, result-oriented team, so for the right candidate this opportunity could have long-term potential.
