Are you creative? A chance to win $50 gift card

November 27, 2011  |  No Comments  |  by Melody  |  Events

Help 3 of your HBS classmates who are working on a start-up by suggesting a company name and be awarded with a $50 gift card if your submission is selected! We are offering two such prizes!

Here are some specifics to help you:

Company positioning: For men and women looking for affordable high-quality prescription eyewear, Company X is the retailer of choice because it is the only provider of modern-classic inspired range of styles – all $100 – delivered via an online consumer-friendly interface and promising exceptional customer service.

Product: Company X will be an e-commerce site that sells, fits, and delivers its own brand of high-quality prescription eyewear.

  • We consider our brand as being analogous with timeless, classic apparel brands such as J. Crew, Ralph Lauren, and Levis.
  • We also aspire to create a simple, intuitive online purchasing experience with exceptional customer service.

Target: Between the ages of 24 and 35, also known as the “golden age” as this group is the most happy, confident and keen to try new technology. Psychographic traits that describe our target customer are: intelligent, sophisticated, successful, ambitious, confident, and curious. These consumers are graduate students and working professionals (i.e. in corporate, finance, and consulting jobs).

Note: please do not limit the name to vision/eyewear as we would like to be able to expand the brand at a later date.

Please submit ideas to [email protected] until Sunday Dec 11th!

Good Luck!
