General
TechMedia treks give HBS students the opportunity to visit companies, talk to current employees, try products, and much more. TechMedia hosts numerous widely popular treks each year, including visits to the Bay Area, NYC, Boston and Seattle.
WesTrek is the largest MBA student Trek, now its 18th consecutive year at HBS. It’s goal is to introduce HBS students to dynamic companies located in Northern California for network and career opportunities, and to create a tight-knit community of HBS students interested in the West Coast.
Structure
WesTrek will be divided into 5 tracks, Startup/Growth, Large Cap, Venture Capital, Clean Energy, and Other. Students will be allowed to select companies across the various tracks to visit, given availability and scheduling. Additional morning and evening events with alumni and leaders in the Bay Area will supplement the experience.
Over the course of 3 days in December 2013, students will attend keynote speeches, panels, coffee chats, alumni dinners, and will visit more than 90 companies.
