Well-capitalised startup, Apple senior exec and ex-Goldman Sachs partner backed (and involved operationally). The business model is a twist on Kickstarter, with innovative technology (array of patents pending). The business model is multi dimensional and and thus requires a team who are able to think innovatively and flexibly. We aim to launch quickly and this is backed by 1.5 years of due diligence.

Product Marketing will play a pivotal role in packaging the product and making it user-friendly all whilst staying true to the company’s vision. This role is pivotal in determining the success of our product and Company.

We’re looking for high energy, passionate people with exceptional product marketing strategy and go-to-market execution, communication and project management skills. Such team members will be expected to deliver personalized and relevant experiences. Creativity is a must as this role will necessitate strategic thinkers who will impact the direction of the company through their passion and personality.

Responsibilities

  • The role is responsible for driving the launch strategy and continued go to market strategy of the company
  • Drive the adoption of these products amongst users through online, offline and partner marketing campaigns.
  • Understand market dynamics and user reaction to our products, and inform the larger product and go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop strong relationships with industry partners, and formulate co-marketing initiatives that meet our business goals.
  • Keep the brand pure to the vision and principles of the Company

Requirements:

  • In depth understanding of social media, peer to peer financing and online advertising models.
  • Proven track record of delivering results within an entrepreneurial and fluid environment
  • Solution-oriented with ability to structure complex issues with – some experience of navigating consumer finance and regulatory environment helpful
  • Intellectually curious and ambitious with a finger on the pulse of the industry
  • Enjoy technical/analytical marketing techniques and apply data for decision-making
  • Communicate very effectively,both written and verbal
  • Understand market dynamics and user reaction to our products, and inform the larger product and go-to-market strategies.

Preferred qualifications

  • MBA a plus

Pocket Gems is a pioneer in mobile gaming, with a series of successful free-to-play games that have been downloaded more than 50 million times.  Widely viewed as a leader in the space, Pocket Gems has consistently had 2-3 games in the top grossing charts on iOS. The company is backed by Sequoia Capital and based in San Francisco.

Since the start of 2011, we have grown from 10 employees to a team of over 70, including three HBS alums and seven Stanford GSB alums. We’re continuing to grow aggressively, targeting a number of MBA hires for 2012 in product management, analytics and user acquisition. We are passionate about data-driven product design and look exclusively to top-tier schools like HBS for new talent.
