Overview
NewCo has been established to provide authentic local imagery to creative professionals around the world. An Internet based B2B service, NewCo will distinguish itself from existing microstock services through its curatorial selection and emphasis on user experience.
Project Opportunity
NewCo has spent the past 5 months conducing primary market research and is now prepared to build a working prototype. We would like to invite an individual or team to help with one or more of these work streams. The time commitment can be flexible and will be matched to achievable objectives. We expect to have reached early production milestones by the end of the second semester.
Team
NewCo is comprised of experienced professionals in photography, design, and venture capital:
Whitney Bower (MBA ’94): Whit has spent most of his career as a venture capital and private equity investor working with high growth technology companies, including Internet businesses Netscape, Move (dba Realtor.com), Stepstone, and Gain Capital (dba Forex.com).
Gary Knight: Gary is a British photographer, architect and co-founder of the VII Photo Agency and Director of the Program for Narrative & Documentary Practice at Tufts University. His work has been widely published by media all over the world and his work is in the collections of numerous museums.
Kathleen Kiley: Kathleen has worked as a senior design executive at Newsweek, the NewYorker and the New York Times selecting images and designing layout for US, European and Asian publications. Kathleen has an MFA from Yale and has spent more than half her career in Asia.
Stephen Mayes: throughout his 25 year career, Stephen has served as creative director, strategist, and executive to leading photography and arts companies. Stephen has been the Creative Director of eyestorm.com, working with artists such as Damien Hirst and Ed Ruscha, SVP and Group Creative Director of Getty Images, and CEO of VII Photo.
