We are very excited to announce 2012 leadership opportunities for TechMedia Club. With over 350 members, TechMedia Club is one of the largest and most active clubs on the HBS campus. It is known for hosting the widely popular treks (WesTrek, Boston and NYC), Cyberposium Conference, startup and VC panels, notable speaker events and much more.

By joining the TechMedia Club leadership team, you will have unique opportunities to network with industry professionals, organize interesting events, and connect with the HBS and Greater Boston tech community.

Tech Companies Exhibition
VP of “Demo TechMedia” (2): 
The VP of Demo TechMedia leads the organizing of the new techmedia companies exhibition(s) over the 2012-2013 academic year.  The Demo TechMedia will be a new annual or bi-annual TechMedia event that aims to expose HBS students to the latest technologies at the different tech and media company recruiting on campus.  The aim of Demo TechMedia is to help HBS students better understand and experience the different products and development at each of the participating technology and media companies.

Career Treks
VP of Treks (1): The VP of Treks leads the coordination, oversight, and knowledge transfer for the co-chairs responsible for WesTrek, Greater Boston Trek, NY Trek, and any other career treks.

  • Co-Chairs of WesTrek (2): The Co-Chairs of WesTrek leads the organization and execution of WesTrek that occurs in January.
  • Co-Chairs of Greater Boston Trek (2): The Co-Chairs of the Greater Boston Trek leads the organization and execution of the Greater Boston Trek that occurs 1-2 times per academic year.
  • Co-Chairs of NY Trek (2): The Co-Chairs of the New York Trek leads the organization and execution of the New York Trek.


Corporate Relations

  • VP of Large Cap (1): The VP of Large Cap leads communications and coordination with large cap companies in the tech & media industries.  The VP of Large Cap is also responsible for connecting other officers to large cap companies for their respective events.  Responsibilities included under this role includes events such as panels, info sessions, and coffee chats with large cap companies.
  • VP of Startups & VCs (1): The VP Startups & VCs leads communications and coordination with startups, growth-stage companies, and VCs in the tech & media industries.  The VP of Startups & VCs is also responsible for connecting other officers to startups, growth-stage companies, and VCs for their respective events.  Responsibilities included under this role includes organizing events such as panels, info sessions, and coffee chats with startups and VCs.


Community Development
VP of Community Relations (1): 
The VP of Community Relations leads connecting TechMedia Club members to organizations and resources outside of HBS. Events included under this role includes mixers with other Harvard and Boston-area schools, and events in the greater Boston community.

Member Development
VP of Member Development (1): The VP of Member Development leads connecting and surfacing HBS resources for all TechMedia Club members.  Events included under this role includes career and academic panels, iLab liaison, mentorship program, and oncampus social events.

Information Technology
VP of Information Technology (1): 
The VP of Information Technology will work with the webmaster to lead the development and maintenance of the TechMedia website, event/program websites, and other online communications tools.
