things you’ll do:

1. marketing analytics – you will compile a “master report” analyzing the effectiveness of our user acquisition channels and other important metrics for the company. you will implement a system for sharing this information with the company and our investors on a regular basis.

2. user acquisition – you will research and run tests on a variety of marketing channels with a goal to discover one or more ROI-positive channels.

3. social metrics – you will research brand competitor social metrics [likes, comments, followers, etc.] including sentiment analysis and generate analysis reports.

4. key evangelists/influencer groups – you will research people who can be a strong megaphone for hipmunk, and you will build a system to track and report interactions and communications with these individuals.

VentureLabs Entrepreneuring Fellows Program

VentureLabs is the first institutional platform for accelerated innovation and parallel entrepreneuring. Conventionally, the acts of technology invention, company conception and entrepreneuring are conducted serially, separately, and slowly – often by distinct individuals. In Flagship VentureLabs, these processes are interwoven, accelerated and iterated by teams across parallel internal projects. The goal is to generate breakthrough technologies and fist-in-class new ventures – enterprises with the capacity to solve global challenges, disrupt large markets, and shape a better future for the world. Over the past 12 years, the VentureLabs team has conceived and launched 25 pioneering companies.

The VentureLabs Entrepreneuring Fellows program provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in VentureLabs unique approach to company invention and conception. Each Fellow will work with a VentureLabs team member on a VentureLabs project. Over the summer, each Fellow will be immersed in the practice of professional entrepreneuring and the rigorous process of venture creation.

The VentureLabs Entrepreneuring Fellows program will begin on Monday, June 4, 2012 and will be a full-time fellowship over a 12 week period. Selected Fellows will receive a stipend and will be located at the Flagship VentureLabs offices in Kendall Square (1 Memorial Dr., 7th floor, Cambridge, MA). Flagship VentureLabs has been inventing and launching innovative startups for over a decade. The VP of Demo TechMedia leads the organizing of the new techmedia companies exhibition(s) over the 2012-2013 academic year.  The Demo TechMedia will be a new annual or bi-annual TechMedia event that aims to expose HBS students to the latest technologies at the different tech and media company recruiting on campus.  The aim of Demo TechMedia is to help HBS students better understand and experience the different products and development at each of the participating technology and media companies.
