Manager, Strategic Initiatives

The spot: Reporting directly to the President, you will oversee all aspects of TheLadders.com strategic planning, directing competitive analysis and performance management initiatives. The Manager, Strategic Initiatives works directly with the executive team on projects related to key initiatives to craft strategies that best position the company to take advantage of the existing and predicted markets.

The skinny: 

  • You will work with the President on high visibility projects to better understand business and strategy
  • You will partner with the President and Executive Team to determine and design company goals
  • You will collaborate with President and Executive Team to communicate Company plans, priorities, goals and results to the Company as well as Board of Directors
  • You will perform quantitative analysis to drive business decision making; provide thought leadership and analytical rigor to assist in important business decisions
  • You will develop a deep understanding of TheLadders.com financials and competitive landscape
  • You will develop business partnerships for new product initiatives
  • You will strengthen execution by continuous process improvement and integration of best practices
  • You will proactively review operations to identify opportunities for improvements/enhancements to ensure that performance and efficiencies keep pace with the business

The specs: 

  • You must have earned a BS/BA and MBA from top tier school
  • You must have 2+ years of experience understanding, communicating, evaluating, and prioritizing business requirements
  • You must have experience consulting at a top tier firm, investment bank, media organization or technology company
  • You must have knowledge of business / financial analysis and requirements gathering
  • You must have experience creating frameworks to assess new business opportunities
  • You must have demonstrated leadership ability, excellent oral and written communications skills, including formal presentations, demonstrated ability in relationship development and problem solving, and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner
  • You must have a track record of establishing organization plans and leading the effort to meet the plan targets
  • You must have a successful leadership track record
  • You must have proficient knowledge and usage of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

MBA Intern

The spot: As the MBA intern at TheLadders.com, you will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced team focused on both short-term tactical victories and long-term greatness. You will report directly to the President and will work extensively with the executive team on projects related to key initiatives to craft strategies that best position the company to take advantage of the existing and predicted markets. We’re not only looking for a great intern, but potentially someone who will join us in a full-time capacity after graduation. Previous MBA interns have moved on to high-level positions in the organization, up to and including Vice President/General Manager.

If you have a burning desire to succeed, a can-do attitude and an interest in maximizing your personal effectiveness this is for you. If you’ve got strong interpersonal skills and desire to make an impact in a fast-paced, high-growth Internet environment, we want to hear from you. Now.

  • You will craft a strategy that best positions TheLadders to take advantage of the existing and predicted markets
  • You will research and develop business plans for new revenue opportunities for TheLadders.  Research would include looking at international sources, business modeling, market sizing opportunity, marketing plan, etc.

The specs: 

  • You must have a Bachelor’s Degree and must be currently enrolled in an MBA Program at a top-tier school
  • You must have strong attention to detail; passion for technology and excellence
  • You must be a motivated self-starter who likes working on very productive teams
  • You must have excellent communication skills and be a team player
  • You must have exceptional analytical skills
  • You must have demonstrated leadership ability, excellent oral and written communications skills, including formal presentations, demonstrated ability in relationship development and problem solving, and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner
  • You must have proficient knowledge and usage of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Consulting experience at a top tier firm, investment bank, or startup is preferred
