ResolutionTube (RT) is a start-up based out of UC Berkeley’s start-up incubation accelerator center. RT uses a patent-pending mobile and cloud computing technology in a way similar to the concept of telemedicine to address one of the critical needs of manufacturing i.e. the downtime problems faced by them.  In most industries, the sales and marketing vertical has been able to achieve enormous gains in productivity through the use of mobile and cloud computing technologies (such as Salesforce and others). In the long run, RT envisions the use of such disruptive technologies to aid the manufacturing/ operations group within these organizations to achieve immense productivity gains and hence assist the Reshoring initiative (http://www.reshorenow.org/) to bring the manufacturing back to United States. The concept and business model has received excellent validation by some of the top US manufacturing leaders.
